The bearing in my fresh water pump on my Universal m4-30 engine has gone out. I know that is a Kubota Y850 block. Does anyone know or have reference to the Kubota fresh water pump number? The Kubota dealer needs a part number or an engine serial number and the universal serial numbers don't relay.

If you haven't yet, remove the pump and look for a part # stamped on it. Kubota uses tractor number, not engine number, to track parts. Take your old pump to a Kubota dealer and tell him you think it is off a B6200 tractor and see what they can do.
Are you looking for the coolant pump or the sea water pump?
By "fresh water" i believe you mean coolant, but not sure.
Yes coolant pump, Kubota dealer is trying but has not been able to match it to one in stock. They need part number
They have tried to match it with what they have in stock, but need a part number. Have not found a number anywhere on it
The Kubota engine type should be on the block. the M25 is a Kubota D850. According to Torresen Marine, the Y850 (M4-30) was installed between 1988 and March 1993. Universal part #302756, $307. Kubota should be about 1/3 of that.
