Using Hoist to put 192 in the water

In order for me to launch our Oday 192 we recently purchased, I need to make a bridle that the hoist can attach to. My problem is a proper attachment point for the bridle I need to make. Other sailboats use the keel bolts as an attachment point. The Oday 192 has a swing keel and no keel bolts. One person suggested putting larger backing plates behind the two stanchions opposite each side of the doghouse and use them as attachment points. Has anyone tried this? Is the hull to deck bonding strong enough to let this work. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Slings

I just bought a Mariner and we used 2 slings right around the hull. It takes a little bit of adjustment to get the ballance just right but it worked very well. The marina should have slings or you could rent them otherwise.

Will give Slings a try

Thanks Aurel for the suggestion. The Marina does have straps. what we haven't tried, is the straps alone, without the large steel boom. The steel boom is problamatic, the previous owner tried using it and the boom chafed against the mast.
