How much CP do I add to a shower sump before filling it with water, and how long should it stand before switching the pump back on? Thanks, Peggie.

I'd recommend about half a cup

That's 4 oz...And I'd wait several hours before turning the pump on. I don't think you need to completely fill the sump before cleaning it...most of the grunge is gonna be on the bottom of the pan. OTOH, it might be a good idea to do it the first time. After this, just squirt a little down the shower drain after each shower to keep it clean. If anyone washes long hair in the shower or sheds a lot, you might want to give it a bigger dose every few weeks, and let it stand overnight before turning the pump on...to give the enzymes in C.P time to "eat" the hair.

C.P. Cleans Potties! is...

..our bio-enzymatic toilet bowl, sump, and drain cleaner. It's available from the online store on this site, as well as from BOAT/US and West Marine. C.P. is is the only bowl cleaner that can be used with our holding tank treatment K.O...not just because we want you to use our products, but because it's only one on the household, industrial OR marine/rv market that is bio-enzymatic and not a chemical product. It not only cleans toilet bowls, but destroys odors on contact, and the enzymes in it "eat" grease, oils, hair, and the other stuff that clogs drains and sumps. It may sound self-serving for me to say so, but it really is amazing stuff.
