A few months ago I heard a person talking about a retail store that sells used saleboat hardware in South Boston Ma. I have tried to obtain information about this company but have come up blank. Can any one help if this company exists ? Thanks Fred kelley

I have heard of a store in Peabody that sells used sailing equipment. That was sevreal years ago i have not been able to find them on the web. However ther is Newport Nautical in RI which has some good used stuff. If you happen to find the store in Peabody i would like to know.

Marine Exchange on Rte 1
I think "Marine Exchange" is the name of the place. I know there is one on the North Shore (Rte 1 South just above the I-95 interchange, but I am not sure about the south shore. They have all kinds of stuff both new and used. Regards, Ted

I think Marine Exchange went out of business a few years ago. I used to buy from them by mail, but they actually had more new stuff than old stuff. They also used to be at the boat shows but not in recent years. If anyone knows otherwsie, please post.

Sorry, but Marine Exchange went out of business 2 or 3 years ago. Nautical Traders in Salem on Bridge St is more of a curio-shop and marine store and a little pricey but you can try them. Your opinion may be different than mine.
