are CDI furlers any good? I looking for my 25.5 hunter.wonder anyone know of any good used ones.I use my boat mostly racing and short cruises. river and off shore.thanks, johnny
I installed a CDI furler on my 240 a couple of years ago. I think it represents a good value and does its job flawlessly...at least so far. Based on conversation threads on this site in the past, it seems that CDI is especially well regarded for smaller boats that might be trailered. Go for it. -ED
I installed a CDI FF4 on my 25.5 in October, and I really like it. The installation was pretty straighforward and according to the instructions. It works very well with my 150 genoa. Mine came from www.thesailwarehouse.com -- they had a good price on it.
Hey thanks Charles and the rest of you guysguess I'll go with it, I too want to put a 150 on it, just wanted to make sure the spool would be big enough and also I think I'll spend the extra bucks and get the ball bearings too.Guys I know out here some seem to think that cdi is cheap made and would'nt hold up, but these guys all got pro-furl etc and maxed out there credit cards, ha-------so maybe the F4, thanks again!!!!!!!!!
charlesI'm thinking on buying the package f4 w/bearings and the 150 genoa. Question i got is they don't talk about quality or fabric of the sail and the name brand, tried e-mailing them but no reply yet. Got any answers?thanks, johnny
