Hunter 2000 420 Passage CC Summit North Marina Bear
Hi Guys,

At last I have my visa and will be in Bear DE by the end of the month to start our liveaboard cruising life after almost 6 months of agony waiting for it. We are still currnetly in the UK.

My request is for someone with a 420 to help me out by giving me a measurement. I intend to fit an external bow thruster and I need to know where the bolts will come through the hull.

Now I know most of you will want to tell me off for A) Having a bow thruster at all and B) for fitting an external one but after lots of experiance in tight mooring situations and taking into concideration our long term plans to transit France through the canals (100's of locks) I want one......

So back to my question, can anyone with a 420 (head in forpeak) help me by measuring down 300mm from the water line on the outside of the hull to the centerline of the boat. This will give me the center of the main bolt holding the Bow thruster to the hull, and what I REALLY NEED TO KNOW is where that bolt would come through the hull?

The suppliers seem to think it will be directly under the forward head but as I am in the UK and cant get there for a couple of weeks I need help!!!
No laughing now I know I need help, I bought a boat! :)

SO if any of you guys could give me a ball park position I would be MOST greatfull.

The make and model of the thruster is a Marinno Exturn 300. There is an installation video on Utube if it helps?

Thanks in advance guys.

Richard.

I understand why but have you talked with other 420 owners who have a thruster or where or how Hunter installs them.
