Recently sailed a 2002 Caliber LRC as prospective buyer. Wind 15-18 kts., 135 % genoa, in mast furling. Boat heeled well to leeward as expected after hardening up and was stable, but weather helm was significant even after dropping traveler. Can't imagine sailing all day having to fight the wheel. I believe the only way to correct is to reduce heeling - reef main. Perhaps a smaller genoa would work better too. The idea of reefing in only 15-18 kts. is not appealing in terms of resulting drop off of speed/performance. Appreciate comments

A smaller jib will only increase weather helm,

easing the main will reduce weather helm. Remember that the force of the wind increases as to the square of the velocity, so 18 knots has 50 percent more energy that does 15 knots.
