Uploading waypoints - PC to Raychart 420

Does anyone have any luck uploading waypoints from a PC to a Raychart RC420? The NMEA0183/RS232 communication allows data to come to the PC from the chartplotter (including waypoints generated by the chartplotter) properly into the Fugawi navigation software I am using. Monitoring the COM port on the PC looks normal with the expected NMEA sentences. When I try to SEND WAYPOINTS from the chartplotter to the PC, the chartplotter just rapidly beeps three times and does nothing. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

They are probably the best to answer this question (web URL).If you get an answer that works OK, please post it -- I for one would be interested. I use the MapTech Chart Navigator software and regularly exchange route/waypoint data with my handheld Garmin GPS. I never tried it with my on-board Raytheon RL70RC.--Ron
