Catalina 22 Toms River
I recently bought a 1979 Catalina 22. The upholstery foam for the cushions in the cabin are in rough shape and all torn apart. I am planning on buying new upholstery foam for the cabin but I think I might be missing a few of the cushions. For any Catalina 22 owners, could you give me some suggestions on where to buy upholstery, what material the covers should be, how to cut and measure, and also how many cushions are there supposed to be?

If you're on a budget like most of us are then shop around. We have bought Sunbrella type outdoor fabric for two different cabin restorations from Wallmart of all places. They have a fabric dept. in some of them that stocks a few bolts of Sunbrella type outdoor fabric. We bought an entire bolt of the fabric for only about $125. which is about 3-4 bucks a yard. That is a bargain compared to 12-20 bucks a yard online or a fabric store. You just have to look around for a rint that looks reasonably nautical. Foam is another story. Its real expensive at fabric stores. Its almost cheaper to buy cheap cushions with fabric that U hate, just to take the foam out to use for bunks. Good luck.
