Does anyone have local experience with a reputable company to use for cleaning the salon cushion upholstery? My upholstery is tan and has some minor stains and water marks. I would like to have it professionally cleaned. I can easily take the cushions to a shop for cleaning.

Remove the foam and take them to a reputable upholstery cleaning shop. We were able to clean our own uphostery but there were no stains. We simply used the gentle cycle on our machine with some woolite and then air dried(no heat) in the dryer. They came out looking and smelling fresh.

Michael A couple of years ago, I wanted to do the same thing with my H380. I called a number of local charter companies and asked who they used. Interesting enough they all used the same company--not even in my town.

I called the company in question and they were willing to come to the boat, take all the cushions back, clean them and re-install them a a price that I though was quite fair. They did a good job. One of the guys taking the cushions off the boat said that taking the coverings off didn't always work well. They liked cleaning them as a unit.

If I were doing it today I would call those same chartering companies and ask the same question.

I don't want this to sound like a commercial, but I have a new kirby vacume system that also has a carpet/frniture foam cleaning system. It really works great on cleaning my carpet & upholstery on my boat as well as the house. Not cheap, but it does a decent job. See if you can find a friend with this system, and borrow it for a test run.:)
