upgrade for catalina 27 needed

I want to upgrade the head in our 1978 model Catalina 27 it is a settee model.It is equipped with a porta potty now. I would like to upgrade to a relatively inexpensive standard marine head. (I realize that this is an oxymoron- boat/inexpensive) Can anyone suggest reasonably priced parts for this? I understand that the holding tank on most 27's is under the starboard settee, this is where the fresh water tank is right now. Is there sufficient space for both tanks?ThanksMike

Think "ballast"...

I wouldn't put both a water tank and a holding tank in the same approx. location. When both are full, you're gonna list to that side. Where's the head in your boat...forward in the cabin, or aft?It makes more sense to work out the details of an individual installation via e-mail or phone, and leave the "generic" questions for the board.
