My boat (owner of a month now)still has the original traveler system. the blocks on either side of the cam have a knob that needs to be pulled up and manually slid on the rail for adjustment !? i'd like to put on new system ? any ideas , keeping the same rail ? Barton product ? my boat seems to have updated products from barton ?

Modify what you have

You can save some money by modifying your current traveler. Add a sturdy eye bolt to each end of your traveler bar, then rig a 5:1 block system, including a cam, between each eye bolt and a sturdy ring above the traveler car. A control line on each end then adjusts your car position. You can keep your manual knob car stops on the bar as well, but the block system will allow you to adjust your traveler to the car stops. Check out some traveler systems for boats in your size for design inspiration, and to determine the proper line size.
