We met this evening at the Ballena Bay Yacht Club this evening - and here is what the group is floating. Don Durant - the local Hunter Dealers at H & S Yacht Sales - see http://www.hsyacht.com/alameda.shtml - and they are planning a Rendezvous to Petaluma on August 5-6. The H & S event will include participation from Mount Gay Rum. For those that have never been to Petaluma – it’s a great trip. The Petaluma event would test the feelings of the attendees and hopefully there would be enough interest to have a good turn out for the second event. We would plan an second event October 27th at Ballena Bay the 28th and 30th http://www.bbyc.org/pages/calendar.htm#Mar Those who want to come Friday could join the Friday night race. Ward Fulcher – the race chare at BBYC would set up a class race just for Hunters. Saturday we might have a progressive pot luck – going from boat to boat. The feeling of the group is that Hunter owners want to check out each others boats –modifications – etc. Also – we might have Marty Chin (local mechanic that works a great deal on Hunter Diesels) on give a talk about maintaining Diesels. Don will approach Hunter to try to get them to also contribute something of interest to Hunter Owners. We might have a sail maker to discuss trim. The main goal is to see if there is enough interest in the Bay area to start having regular events. What can you do? I am going to save email addresses to steve@dalelawfirm.com .
