Up with the rigid vang and down with the dreaded topping lift. Only problem was removing it! It was unbelievable how much effort is involved crawling up the mast in 25 knot winds but I made in in about 30 minutes. Getting back down was easier but it was difficult holding on tight enouigh so as to not slide to fast. You know what? The top of the mast sure looks higher from up there than from on deck! By the way, I was saluting not scratching! Chris
