I have a 1978 Catalina 25 with an unusual salon arrangement. The starboard setee runs the length of the cabin and the port is L-shaped. The table was mounted on a pedastal at one time - it wasn't there when I purchased the boat. I am looking to buy a replacement. Have only found info on the two other arrangements that I do not have (1) straight setees port & starboard with a bulkhead mounted drop down table, or (2) two benches perpendicular to the portside with a fold down table between. Can someone help?

I had the same thing

I had the same layout in my boat. It wasn't extremely common, but it was out there. I think Catalina Direct sells parts for it.

Is this picture what yours looks like? The cushion on the lowered table turns the whole thing into a bed.

Yeah! That's it. I seem to be unable to find the parts on CatalinaDirect.

I have the same boat & layout. The pedestal base is a basic item that's used for captain's chairs, tables, etc. I'll take a pic of mine & post later. Most marine stores (i.e. West Marine) sell them. The cool part is that the table is rectangle & can turn to accommodate people sitting at the table or turn long ways to drop down and use for making the port side settees into a double bed. Also, with the measurements, you can pretty much custom design your table with whatever material you want and then it fastens to the base with 4 bolts.
