When I initially looked at this boat I thought I'd be able to easily add some more turning blocks to the mast foot for second reef, cunningham, outhaul etc. I now see it looks like to fit them, the maststep has to be removed. Can someone confirm this pls? Thanks Patrick in Port Charlotte

Patrick, can speak for the H30, but our H28...

step had holes in the step plate where you can insert a SS threaded pin. The side of the step plate had a slot to slide a nut that secured the threaded pin. I did this without unstepping the mast. Our P42 step accepted a "U" shaped round strap with ears to attach turning blocks, but it required that you unstep the mast to slide them into their bed molded into the step plate. Terry

No need to remove mast

Pat, I have a 91 30T, and I added several blocks to the base of the mast last year. I tried a couple of different types before I found the right ones. US Spars Inc. in Gainsville FL sells the blocks that fit the mast base plate on the 30T. They have equipment for the a Z-Spar mast. They come with a threaded stud that fits thru the plate and you slide a nut in the slots under the holes and turn the block to tighten it. I added blocks for reef 1 and 2. The number for US Spar is 386-462-3760. Hope this helps you out. John
