Unreachable odor

To the experienced sailor this will probably be considered a silly question. So be it.We have a 1985 Hunter 31' and have sailed her for 3 seasons now. There is anodor I believe is coming from the floor (of the mold and mildew variety). I have cleaned many times - you could eat out of our bilge. Some people say it is commonin older boats and not avoidable. I suspect the moisture has gathered on the inside ofthe hull, under the pan, where you cannot clean. Are there treatments or solutions available? I heard someone talking about ventilating after an ozone treatment? What is that for? Any help would be greatly appreciated. odor help

If I remember correctly ozone generating machines help with neutralizing odors. I think Practical Sailor magazine had a article about them a few months back. Maybe you can check their web page. www.practicalsailor.com.In Miami humidity and odor is a constant problem. I had a Hunter 27 that was in the water. I had a louvered vent in the companionway hatch. In the coach roof was a solar powered vent fan that forced air in. Over the roof in the head was a solar fan that only blew out. Whenever I opened the boat up it smelled darn good.
