It reminds me a lot of my old Excalibur 26, made by Islander, but that fish shaped symbol on the stripe at the sterm is probably a manufacturer's logo and I don't recognize it.
Good Old Boat ID page (website attached), the coaming boards and winch towers also remind me of mid 60's Tartans and Columbias. There is a boat across from me that has been converted to a Junk Rigged ketch that I'll look at closer this weekend, hull looks a lot like this one I think.
...as I recall, Islander also marketed a finish-it-yourself line of boats as did many of their contemporaries at the time. They used a different brand, and I can't recall what it was just now. That certainly looks like an Islander cove and the eyebrow on the cabin also looks familiar. Rick D.
After surfing Yachtworld.com for Islander sailboats between 30-34 feet, the Teardrop shape would confirm that it is an islander. What year? Most likely very early 80's. 1979-1984. They had a funky flat top deck design in the earliest models.
look first on the transom just below deck level, the number should be embossed there with manufacureererers (cant spell or tipe) id number, this can be used to determine who built it. the registration numbers or doqumentation could also be used to track the builder. Check the last state registered or if doqumented you can look up the name on the internet. Those papers should have a builder listed.
