Has anyone replaced the heat exchanger on a Universal Model 25? I understand that there is a three inch retrofit for the two inch original. If anyone has any experience with this the help would be appreciated
I cannot respond to a comparison of the 2" versis a 3" exchanger . however we found a 2" for around $200 and replaced it ourselves after the radiator shop charged $25 to tell us the old one could not be boiled out . The 17 year old universal/kabota runs like a champ at a constant 165(F).Beieve me we are not mechanics/engineers and the bleeding was no big deal...just worked our way along the system . if we can help EMAIL ALIGNMKTG@MSN.COM...good luck..AL
Doug, I had my old heat exchanger replaced last spring with the 3" model. I had it done by a mechanic while doing some other work. I liked the idea of the extra water circulation. Do you have any specific questions? Jack jbolling@san.rr.com
