I have a Universal Atomic 5424 (3-cylinder) auxiliary and I need to replace the fuel return lines that goes between the aft injector back to the fuel tank.
Does anyone know if the return circuit is high pressure or can I use the low pressure 3/16" fuel line from the auto parts store?

I have the 5432 which is same base and the fuel return to the tank is a non pressure line. It just bleeds excess back and I have some kind of flex line. Auto supply store would be just fine.

Don't use the auto parts store line. Fuel lines should be non-permeable, i.e. they should not leak fumes and need a higher level of fire retardant due to the enclosed space they live in. Only use USCG approved lines. A bit more expensive, but safer.

Sure, you might get away with using cheaper auto store line, however, if there is an issue and the insurance company gets involved or a surveyor notes it in a report it will make life more complicated.

It's the low pressure side, but you need an acceptable fuel line. For diesel it is Type B1 which is recommended by ABYC. Type A1 for gasoline fuel lines.
