Looking for some advice. Just inherited a 1986 35 Ericson from a land sale. It has an Universal Atomic Diesel 5432. I have been able to get the engine running but I am not able to shut it down from the helm. I have read to pull back on throttle past the spring pull. I do feel the resistance on the lever but do not see any movement at the engine when pulling. Is their a separate cable that is supposed to be going to engine? Any advice on what the throttle lever is supposed to do when pulled on at the engine side would be greatly appreciated.
