Universal 5411 water pump leak

My water pump has a leak where the 2 bolts hold the pump in to the engine.
The cost of the new pump is very expensive. Has anyone had the problem and how did you fix it? Looks like there are a couple seals inside the pump. Could not see if there is a gasket between the pump and the engine?

There should be a gasket between your water pump & the engine.
This probably needs to be replaced.
If it is an Oberdorfer style pump then you can get replacement pumps at Moyer Marine for ~$300. They carry the gaskets too.
Moyer also sells a replacement pump (MMI 501/502) that requires no grease fitting.
don't buy anything from Torreson Marine if you can help it. Their markup for Universal parts is astounding.
