I need to replace the bilge hose on my H33 and wonder how to get it out from the section that is under the sole between the bilge and the shower sump. Has anybody tackled this?

Attach new hose to old and pull both through

Unless the old hose has been attached to something below decks, that's the easiest way to get the old hose out and the new hose in. Do NOT use clamps or duct tape to connect the new and old hoses...clamps can catch on something...any resistance can cause taped sections to pull apart--always in an inacessible location. Instead, buy a male-male connector and use PVC cement to keep the hoses on it.Cut the ends of both hose as smoothly as possible, butt them together as tightly as possible...you want the smoothest unbroken line possible. Once you've pulled the hoses through, cut off the new hose behind the connector.
