The recommendation from our surveyor was to replace the lifelines on our C-30 with uncoated versions when I decide to do the job. Does anyone have any comments about this? The concept is that inspection of the lines is much easier without the vinyl covering. The uncoated lifelines are also cheaper!

This thread was around last winter. It seems to be personel whether you like em coated or not, but your surveyor is correct. If the lines are original, or over 10 years old, its probably time to replace them. I agree with your surveyor, but its your call when you replace them. Don
