Looks like a pivot pin or a mandrel for setting snaps.. You may never know. Start a small jar to put such "founf" things in, then some day you'l realize where it came from- and that day will be the day after you throw it away. I have maybe a dozen such items. At least they're all in one place and not sliding around the toolbox.

That's the safety pin from the Yanmar "self destruct" button, don't restart your engine until you find the hole it fits !!!
Just kidding, I think Ron may be correct, it's not threaded or safety wired or even a hole for a clevis pin so it probably isn't critical.

Don't know what the short things is, but the other one's a quarter It was probably put under the mast step to pay the Ferryman on your "last ride".

Probably less likely, do you have any hinged folding doors that this may be the upper glide pin?
