U Shaped Dinette

I have a 83' with a U shaped dinette. Ive seen other boats built the same year with L shaped dinettes. Was this just an option offered then? Im trying to see if there was any other differences. Also, when I bought the boat, I had an engine inspection done. The owner insisted that the engine is a Universal M30 but the mechanic kept telling me it's an M25. Is there a data plate somewhere on the engine that I can check to verify this?

My C30 25XP has a name plate on the top of the exhaust manifold. I also have a U dinette and assume it was an option. It's ok but the table can get in the way sometimes and also it's harder to access the bilge.

I also have U shape dinette. The old table made it difficult to get in and out because it dropped straight down to make the bed. I made a new table that I cut down the width by six inches but the length cut to make insert for bed. Works great.

hvbaker- nice looking table. Mine is a drop leaf which the leafs when down allow some movement to access the port shelves. I don't know if the leaf table is factory or not.
