After replacing the Bulkheads and the cabin sole on my 1984 Hunter 25.5 I am now working on the outside. Well not working but getting ready for some good fall sailing before I haul it out to work on the bottom. In / On the boom there are is a place for 3 lines. Middle line is for the foot /clew on the mail sail. What are the other two for. One on the port side of the boom and other on the starboard side of the boom . Both have little like cam levers where the boom hooks to the mast. My wife and I really love this boat. Perfect for the lake sailing that we do. I was very nervious about the quick heeling everyone talked about. But she sure does firm up after she gets to 15 to 20 degrees heel. Rockets along for the lights winds we have sailed in so far. Sounds like the same as my 23

Mine's a Dwyer boom. On mine, one is used for the mainsail outhaul (foot tension), one is for the topping lift, and the last I believe would be for a reefing line. I don't have one rigged at present, but that's the only other mainsail control I could picture being on the boom.

Reefing lines probably terminate

at the two cam levers, at least they do on my Kenyon boom from the mid-80s ( different boat though).
