First silly question of the day! How do you attach a flag to the topping lift without damaging the line? I have some of those spring loaded devices that catch the line but it "pierces" the TL and I don't care for that. Has anyone got a better method? BTW our boat is a furling main with a arch traveler so the topping lift is not used very often. Thus it is my flag standard at times! See picture below! So does anyone have any suggestions? :)

Second silly question of the day! I love to look at the pictures on the Home page but some of them come up with an "error" page. What is going on with that? Love the pictures and at this time of year I live vicariously thru them since the boat is "on the hard." :)

Thanks all! I will crawl back into my den and return to winter hibernation!

I use a prusik knot to tie my flags on. Quick and easy to tie and adjust positions.

I have the same flag! I usually just wrap a bungee around the line and hook each end into the flag mounting holes.... Quick easy and I don't have to remember my knots. I know that is poor seaman ship, but the truth..... The bungee grips the line and is easy to reposition.
