We're learning the 'ropes' of our 1999 H-260. Two questions come to mind:
a. Is there an aftermarket fold down seat that can be purchased that allows the helmsman to sit high enough to see - when steering with the wheel? I would think it would be mounted to the back rail.
b. Our 260 has a remote controlled Tohatsu 8 HP motor that works very well. What is different from our older H-26 with its 8 HP Suzuki O/B was that the older motor could swivel - the new motor is fixed. We're finding it more difficult to get into and out of slips at our marina. Is this due to our inexperience with a wheel steering system and a fixed motor - or - have other 260 owners experienced this as well? What about linking the motor to the rudder ... is this a 'fix'?
