We took delivery on a 36 mkII on July 8th (#1929). Love everything about the boat...except she has one idiosyncracy that we have been unable to solve. The mainsheet twists around itself at the point just below were it attaches to the aft connection on the boom.At the boom connection, there is a block that that turns. Theorhetically, the block should prevent the twisting of the sheet around itself, but it is the line that is becoming twisted (somehow) and so the block can't do it's duty. This is becoming a real problem, especially on jibes, when the line as 4-6 twists in it, seriously impeding rapid movement of the boom.Has anyone else encountered this situation? It surely cannot be unique to us. Suggestions/help/advice will be greatly appreciated.BobC-36 mkII / 1929 / "Purrrfect"
