Main and Standby
George, twice I have had the engine on my 35.5 suddenly stop due to water in the fuel. After the second session I decided to make some changes. I installed a new racor filter with a see-thru bowl on the bottom. I then took the old all metal filter that came with the boat and installed it in parallel to the new filter. I put a tee on both sides of the new filter along with four valves. If the new filter should fill up with water, I can see it. I then have a minimum engine running time with the backup filter and I will use it to get into the slip or out of danger.
