I bought from west marine an antenna that is powered by 12volts, it looks like a saucer and works relative well dependent upon where the tv antennas are located and what houseboat has a dish to interfere...

Hi Bill, I ended up getting a Glomex 14" antenna. It has a 12 volt amp so I'll be curious to see how it works. I'll let you know. Tim
