anyone got any experience with good tv reception or using digital tv services on their boat...... I am based in Destin Fla, have poor reception and need to upgrade to a good antennae or digital tv.... thanks cej
We own a hunter 335. We put the Dish on a piling at our marina. Works great. Our boat moves too much to place the dish onboard (the dish needs to stay relatively still to lock on to the satelite). We don't use the TV on the hook. We installed a cable/phone hook up under the AC connector at the walk thru in the transom. We ran the cable to a radio shack house cable/phone jack near the nav station. The TV and receiver are on the nav station while in the slip. The TV is a 13" model and works great. It stows easily. We use our boat frequently. By having all the connections in the same place we just unplug and go. If you are transiting marinas with cable hook up you just plug in without the receiver to the transom when you connect the power.
