I was looking at the turnbuckles on my O'day 22, and I was wondering if theres a special tool for tightening them. A search for turnbuckles on Westmarine.com and clicking the tubular one will show you what I have. There's that little hole in them, and it would seem to me that there would be some type of key or tool that would fit into this to facilitate the tightening of them better. Thanks for any info! Josh

Have Such a Tool

Hi again Josh, I have the same turnbuckles and had same problem. I bought a allan key on a handle, available at any hardware store. I'm sure they make a "tool", that costs 3 times what its worth, but a one dollar allan on a stick has worked for me for years. Can't remember what size it is but its probably 1/16". Cheers. Don

drive pin

Josh, If you go to a hardware store, look for the chisels and centerpunches. They should sell a 1/8" drive pin that works perfectly and is made of hardened steel so it won't bend. r.w.landau
