I was putting the mast up on my h-23 the other day and broke off the screw that hold the port shroud. The piece that is t shaped and goes into the turnbuckle, what is that thing called so I can find another. Thanks Father Mark

Mike Bacome,

turn buckel

I call it a t bolt for a turn buckel, careful when ordering there are left and right hand threads , it is best to take the turn buckel body with you to make sure you get what you really need , dont rely on oem as a po may have replaced them, they do get broken and bent , hope no one was injured, find a west marine near you , good luck Mike Bacome

You may find that you will have to buy the entire turnbuckle...the last time that I was at West..they didn't carry the same brand of turnbuckle that I had on my 240

The part of the turnbucvkle that you refer to is the stud. The earlier post of right or left thread is important. If you go to West Marine they should be able to order the stud for you. If not go to a local yard. If not, get my email and you can send it to me and I will get one to you at no charge. But please check first. As for name brand, it will not matter but the stud length should be the same. Usually it is a 1/4 inch stud which is what you need to know.
