Now I am doing little things around the boat
Where does one get the white plastic sleeves that you put around the shrouds and around turnbuckles?
The idea is to protect them, and so that you don't bump into them; do I have to remove from the chainplates?
No one around my marina (it is a small one, no more than 30 boats) has them, but I like them
Any ideas?
Thanks

The kind I have/had require taking the stay/shroud off to slip over the cover. The caps had a slot and would snap over the wire and slide down into the cover. I still have two, one on the backstay and one on the mid-stay. I removed them from the shrouds because I keep the terminals rinsed of salt water and frequently adjust them. True, you can slide them up and tape them out of the way but too much hassle.

You can get them at West Marine. I use them because it keeps the plates and shrouds lined up when raising the mast and prevents kinking. Yes you do have to remove the shrouds to put them on.
