A few weeks ago someone asked about tuning a rig. I thought I'd remembered it was in most Catalina yachts' manuals, and just today came across it. Page 19, para 4.1.2.

I too have seen and read the sections about rig tuning Stu and find them to be most valuable. What I have wondered is why they don't refer to the use of the Loos gauge and recommend it. From my perspective, the use of something with the ability to quantifiably determine a measure of standard takes guess work out of the equation and process. I would think that precision would make a difference and that we would see this tool being recommended more often.
BTW, I keep forgetting to drop the DVD I burned in the mail for you, perhaps I'll remember and get to it this week.
Part of the problem of getting older I guess; of all the things I've lost, I've come to realize I miss my mind the most!
