Can the forestay on the hunter 31 be tightened. I am trying to tune my rig and I fear by the time I have all the shrouds and backstay tight I will end up with the mast shaped like a banana.
Banana is good. There should be (by design) about a 4 inch deviation from "straight" in the mast. But, that bend should be attained before the mast is stepped to the boat (using the upper diagonal shrouds).
