I have an 18 month old Catalina 320 with a wing keel. To slip the boat I had to disconect the back stay. I did not receive a Tuning Manual when I purchased my boat. Is there such a thing? I have retigtened the backstay to where it seemed to be, but would prefer to know the correct procedure.

JUST A THOUGHT

Dave ,I am far from an expert and this is a question for a rigger , however it is my understanding the stays are adjusted fore and aft to balance the rudder (performance).Since many boats have back stay adjusters anyway I cant imagine you can get in too much trouble . Is it really winter down there ? I need to go to Brisban on business within the next year..perhaps we could hook up for a sail ! Al Perkins /84 Cat 30 ....email: ALIGNMKTG@msn.com
