Just got notified about the incoming tsunami about 20 minutes ago. Been keeping an eye on it. It is projected to reach here (Bellingham, WA) at around 1:10 am local time according to: https://www.tsunami.gov/events/PAAQ/2025/07/29/t06p1k/2/WEAK51/WEAK51.txt (message #2). We are quite protected on this side of Vancouver Island, but I am keeping an eye on things. I expect an update fairly soon to inform whether any action is warranted, but I don't anticipate much.

Others might not be so protected. I am concerned for @garymalmgren.

thanks Foswick.
My home is miles from the coast and the boat is moored in a harbour that survived the big one in 2011.
I do worry that earthquakes are linked and one can set off another.

Glad you were safe, Gary.

We were warned in Everett. The pilings on my floating dock allow for a 14-15 ft tidal change.
When I got the warning, I checked the tidal forecast.

The Advisory indicated 1-3ft plus tidal conditions. We are a long way from the open ocean.
With that info, I went to bed.
When I awoke, the reports were that it was a non-issue in Everett.

John we are currently anchored in Drew Hbr near Heriot Bay. We are in 50’ of water with 180’ of all chain out. We are also outside last night’s advisory zone. Good friends of ours were anchored in Eagle Hbr last night and they reported it showed up as predicted as a 1/2 meter oscillating wave. As you know Eagle Hbr bouys are in very shallow water. They were up with engine running ready to move if necessary.
