Hello,Today I tried to install some blocks I bought to set-up my spinnaker and they didn't fit where I tried to put them.I tried to install the sheet blocks on the two "eye" loops protruding upward from the side decks aft about even with where the tiller axle is located. Just forward of the pushpit. The small D shackle was too big to fit through the eye loop hole. Then I pulled the smaller block out of the bag that I was going to use for the downhaul (foreguy?) and it wouldnt fit either.Am I doing something wrong? roy

You are using the correct eyes. If available, use a block with a clevis pin,
otherwise you will have to add another shackle as it is only the shackle pin
that will fit the hole.
If the block includes a D shackle, is it possible to fasten using the
supplied shackle's pin (bypassing the shackle but leaving it in situ)?

There are many different types of block, so it's difficult to suggest
something appropriate without seeing what you actually have.

Hi Alisdair,I did try flipping the d shackle around, but the hole in the block is also so small, it needs the pin. So I couldn't use the pin for the vega eye loop. The block is just a standard ronstan, single. Working load about 1600lbs. Breaking loat about twice that.Roy

Yes, you pretty much hit it with those pics. So, should I take them back and get the ones in your second pic?

Roy, The turning blocks for the spinnaker sheets can be attached, with a shackle, to the pushpit, down low where the front leg mounts on deck. I can't find a good picture, and I can't remember exactly how, but they can mount at deck level on the pushpit. I will try to get a picture in the next couple of days.

Craig,
No problem. I know the spot you are
talking about. Problem is, that hole has about
the same diameter as the eye loop.
