We have an 82 Ctalania 38 and the little plastic cabinet catches are breaking off. I have looked on catalinadirect. Tried all the chain marine stores, e-bay and even Home Depot and Lowes. Any suggestions where I can find these simple little 1 1/2 inch plastic catches? Thanks

The phrase "Improvise, Adapt, and Over-come" is often then best method. When you least expect it, you find the thing you've been looking for. I've been looking for some shroud covers that will act as "bumpers" as well as be somewhat decent looking. Happened to look over at a display of summer junk (checkered table-clothes, etc) in the grocery store last night. Noticed these things called "noodles" for use in the pool. Perfect ID, bunch of different colors, and at $15 or so cheaper, exactly what I wanted... As to your catches; try a larger "Mom & Pop" type hardware store or check the yellow pages for cabinet maker shops... You'd be amazed at some of the stuff you'll find in those places.

They're still in business. You could also use simple hooks and eyes on the outside. We've done that on both of our former hanging lockers since converted to shelves, since the latches tend to open when sailing hard. Stu
