I purchased a TrueCharge 40 to replace the original Guest unit before it packs it in and takes the batteries with it. I got a factory reconditioned unit with warranty at a good price. I also have the remote panel and temp sensor, and I have a question about the remote. I currently have an analog battery voltage meter that can select bat1 or bat2. I have two house banks but generally run them as one, total 440 AH. The TrueCharge remote displays battery voltage and is selectable for two banks. My question is: Does the TC 40 remote display battery voltage all the time or just when the charger is powered? Dwain s/v Dancy

Only when powered

I have the Truecharge 20+ and the remote panel only works when the charger is AC powered. In addition, the remote panel will only show battery voltage down to 13 volts. I had to install an analog battery meter to check on my batteries when away from the dock.

Thanks John

that's the info I was looking for. I wanted to mount the remote panel where the analog meter is, but I guess I'll leave it there and install the remote ajacent to it. Dwain
