We are in looking at buying a 1991 Catalina 28 and are concerned about fitting into slips. Can anyone tell me what the overall length would be including the pulpit? Thanks, Scott

... jerk you around for the extra length caused by the pulpit or bowsprit. My Cat 27 bow pulpit hangs about 18" over the hull's pointy end, and when the outboard is kicked up, another 18" or so off the stern, and they still charge me for a 27 ft. The max they allow is 28 ft in a 25 ft slip. It's more about width than length anyway. With the length they are concerned about how much the boat sticks out in the causeway. Don't you or the person selling the boat have a tape measure? Don't let this small detail prevent you from getting the boat you want.

Scott No one seemed to answer your question. I suggest you go to the C28 Association website. Look at the brochures. There is a waterline length. Meausre that and then figure out by extrapolation (or a scale) what the length with the pulpit is. Stu

Measured the C28 and it's about 29'4 which is too large to fit in the 25 foot slip with three feet of overhang allowed.
