Electronics? The ones I've seen are simply elastic bands, no electronics.

Come on guys . You are all missing the obvious . These folks are in the Pacific Northwest . I've been there . There you need 400 feet of 3/4" chain rode even when you are 3 feet from shore .
Just mount your anchor winch inside the cabin and have your missus crank that chain up and down while you practice anchoring.
