Traveller Relocation

Interested in hearing from any owners of 27' Hunters that have moved the traveller from the stern to cabin top just forward of the companion way. Specifically interested in information regarding mounting the rail to the cabin top and the structural integrity of the rail to the cabin interior. If a kit was used, what type of kit. If no kit used, provide sizing of the rail and hull associated hardware.

last boat had one

My 80-H27 had one from the P.O. I believe it was made by shaefer? I highly recommend adding one to the 27. It made sail handleing nice and enabled us to pull the main in more than boats with the original 2 block set up. It involved 2 wooden patches for the cabin ceiling, but if done neatly they don't look bad. Any other questions feel free to ask, but I can only try to answer as I don't know what it cost or who sells the kit.
