Traveler Question

I have a 1980 O'Day 30 ... I am re-working the interior and am looking foward abit and was wondering if anyone has experience with installing a Traveler above the companionway. I know the "leverage" angle is questionable but I'd like to get the main out of the cockpit ... any info/recommendations and/or sources for hardware would be greatly appreciated!!

I would imagine you could move the traveler to the cabin top. O'Day 31's came that way from the factory and they are essentially the same boat. They do have molded in traveler risers though. I don't know if the boom on the 31 is any beefier than the 30's. That might be an issue.

Try Googling Garhauer traveler for hardware ideas. You'd need some track and risers and some backing plates.
