I would like to change out my traveler line.Does anyone have an idea what length I need to buy or is there a prefab line to order?

Use the old one to match it up... or....

... go to Catalina27.org and look up the specs. It's probably about 12 feet per side, but you should measure it yourself to be safe... it ain't brain surgery. I use a 5/16" standard double braid such as New England Sta-set or Samson LS. If there is a good chandlery in your area, such as West Marine, they will advise you and cut the line with the hot knife so it won't fray.

Don't know if you're the same C27 Dave from earlier this week

Same question, here's the same answer: The length of your traveler line would be depended on what traveler system you have and how many sheaves/purchase. We can't help you with that unless we know. Suggest you measure it yourself. Sources for line? Pre-fab what? You buy the line, cut it to match and do splices or knots at the ends. Please let me know if I'm missing something here.

Hey Joe and Stu, You guys were correct. I went down to the boat today and took a measurement of about 15 ft. per side.I don't get enough time down at the boat and was trying to visualize what I needed. Joe was right, it ain't brain surgery and Stu, as far as the other post,I didn't see it get posted. Thanks for the info,Dave

Dave I see that you might be local to me. I have a 86 27 in Mandeville. I have a copy of the owners manual. Feel free to email me if you don't have one and maybe we can set something up. Biggio@charter.net . Per the manual. It is 5/16 x 12' qty 2
