my o'day 222 does not have a traveler and i want to have one installed. i thought just in front of the centerboard box would be the best choice as you have to step up anyway to get below from the cockpit. also thought just in front of the gas tank stowage compartment (is there an actual term for that?) and the battery stowage compartment which sit at the port and starboard stern quarter respectively. that would be smack dab in the middle of the cockpit which is already very limited in size as it is, but almost at the end of the boom. the location just in front of the centerboard box would put it at about one third of the way from the end of the boom. if it weren't for the stowage compartments it could be all the way at the end of the cockpit where it wouldn't be in anyone's way and we would have to do something with the tiller as it would be impossible to maneuver. any suggestions, has anyone added a traveller to their 222?
