Has anyone installed a traveler on a 37CC? Can the rear cabin take the load?

Richard:)

I've installed one on the little sister a 32 CC which has a similar aft cabin roof and hatch, I through bolted the teak after filling the holes drilled through the cabin top with epoxy and used large fender washers with acorn nuts inside

The similarity of the configuration is amazing. What brand traveler did you install?

Like I said the 32 is the little sister.....the first time you see one up close ya wonder how they got that extra 5 feet on the 37... the cockpits are identical any way I found my traveler on EBay and its a Fico X beam and it came curved already with all the cars and I just had to cut a couple of inches off each end, before finding this on EBay I was looking at Harken travelers and they have fittings to lift the traveler up to clear the hatch but you would have to have the traveler straight across and the mounts would be at right angles unless you could find someone to bend it with a slight curve (looks better)

Here's some pics of a 32 and a 37 with different set ups that I found while looking for ideas

Before your input and pictures I wasn't sure it could be done properly.

Many thanks

Re: Traveler

Hey RAD, it looks from some of the pix you've got a fixed bimini too. We just finished up a custom dodger for our 37CC - any chance you could share some pics?

Here's a few pics with the connector piece that zips into the dodger and Bimini on rainy days....keeps you dry if the rain's not sideways.
If I had to do it again I would have the canvas man sew in zippers on the sides and rear so you could add screens or windows at a later date

http://hergevoileetpassion.comThe simplest and most effective is independent two mainsail hoists, one on each side of the rear cabin. The Mirage 25 is configured well and is very powerful.
That's what I want to do on my 37CC.
Excuse my bad english I'am just speak french.
